    The event is organized under auspices of Armenian Prime-Minister Tigran Sargsyan, the Union of Information Technologies Enterprises informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
    The exhibition will brought together representatives of innovative engineering companies, such as Bitlis-MEN, Pegasus Logic, Olymp Engineering, Ovak Technologies, Project Integration, Rafa Solutions, Innovative Solutions and others.

    Армянская Община Мальты с глубоким возмущением и негодованием восприняла решение правительства Венгрии об экстрадиции в Азербайджан, приговоренного Венгерским судом к пожизненному заключению, убийцу-Рамиля Сафарова.
    Мы считаем , что Венгерское правительство полностью несет ответственность за трагедию произошедшую в 2004 году. Как принимающая сторона она обязана была обеспечить безопасность Армянского офицера Гургена Маргаряна, а не сумев этого сделать, хотя бы должна была справедливо наказать убийцу. 
    В итоге, в результате преступного сговора Правительства Венгрии и Азербайджана, приговоренный к пожизненному  заключению преступник оказался на свободе, более того цинично и показательно был награжден, за мерзкое и зверское убийство спящего человека, только из-за его армянской принадлежности. Произошедшее в Будапеште- это одно из чудовищнейших преступлений, потрясших Армению и вес цивилизованный мир.  А неуклюжие  объяснения Венгерского Правительства, не выдерживают никакой критики, по нескольким причинам:
    1.Экстрадиция убийцы, со ссылкой на Венскую конвенцию, и не ставить  официально в известность  Правительство Республики Армения, учитывая общественную значимость для Армении данного дела, верх цинизма и демагогии.
    2.Документ, представленный от имени Министерства Юстиции Азербайджана, на который ссылается венгерская сторона, имеет информационный характер, а не обязательный.
    3.Если в дальнейшем подтвердиться, что экстрадиция была произведена исходя из финансовой и экономической заинтересованности Правительства Венгрии в Азербайджанских инвестициях, то мы считаем, что такому Правительству и таким людям нет места в цивилизованном обществе, рядом с нами.

    Today, April 24, Armenians throughout the world are marking the 96th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey. The atrocities claimed over 1.5 million Armenian lives.
    The Armenian Genocide is being commemorated in almost all the cities of the world Armenians live in. Thousands of people are flowing to Tsitsernakaberd, the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims in Yerevan, a symbol of mourning for the victims and of national revival. Families, public and political figures, all those not indifferent to the Armenian people’s tragedy are flowing to the memorial to lay flower and wreaths at it. Many representatives of Armenian communities worldwide come to Armenia to take part in the procession on April 24.
    The Armenian community of Malta have honored the Armanian Genocide day by presiding over a mourning meeting at the Khachqar in the city of Valletta.

Our compatriots visited the Armenian Khachkar founded in Valletta and paid a tribute of respect. The guests were welcomed by representatives of the Board of the Armenian Diaspora of Malta. The meeting took place in warm and friendly atmosphere. The guests expressed their gratitude to the Armenians of Malta for the warm welcome, as well as for their hard work in preserving the Armenian culture and tradition in Malta.

    Georgian rockers from “Tako and Green-Mama” band will attend the festival. The band, founded in Tbilisi 10 years ago will present a 45-minute program in Yerevan.

    72231.jpg“Official Gazette” of the Turkish Government issued Turkish Prime Minister’s decree  on August 28, according to which the property of ethnic minorities, taken away in 1936 and confiscated by the decision of the Court of Cassation in 1975, will be returned to their original owners.
    According to the decision, the real estate, owned by 162 foundations of national minorities must be returned to funds of the national minorities living in Turkey within 12 months. The minority groups will be paid market value for property that was sold to third parties, Aksam newspaper reports.
    Only 30 facilities owned by the fund of the Armenian churches should be returned to Armenians.

    Premier met with participants of “Summer School for Young Diaspora Armenian Leaders” program launched by the Ministry of Diaspora.
    Sargsyan stressed importance of holding events dedicated to Armenian language, literature, and history of church, to allow Diaspora representatives to visit Armenia for trainings.

    71609.jpgExpert in Armenian studies Abraham Teryan discovered a letter dating back to 4 century AD testifying to connection of the Armenian church with Jerusalem, writes Nouvelles d‘Armenie.
    The letter was written by Bishop Macarius of Jerusalem who was sent to the Holy Land to supervise the construction of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher ordered by Emperor Constantine. The letter provides answers to questions asked by the newly established Armenian church about baptism and the Communion.

    74555.jpgIncreased incidents of ceasefire violation were reported over the last week. From July 9-16, over 200 instances of ceasefire violation by the Azerbaijani armed forces were reported, with 2500 shots fired. Azerbaijan fired about 850 shots using machineguns and sniper rifles.
    The fire was stopped due to retaliatory measures taken by the Karabakh armed forces, no victims were reported, NKR defence army press service reported.

    Thus, Armenian team is leading the championship with 11 points to its score. Azeri team, with 9,5 points, became the championship runner-up, having beaten Russia 3:1. Azerbaijan is followed by China (9,5 points), who gained a 3,5:0,5 victory over U.S. The Armenian team is set to rival China in the 5th round.

    73987.jpgNagorno Karabakh today is immensely proud of its victory over Azerbaijan and confident in the face of continuing Azerbaijani threats of renewed war, says an article titled “In Karabakh, the First Post-Soviet War” published by The Washington Post.
    “In 1988, Karabakh’s leaders said they wanted to be joined to Armenia proper, just to the west. Moscow never really answered, but in Azerbaijan, pogroms were launched against ethnic Armenians in response, with dozens killed,” the article says.
    According to The Washington Post, “Karabakhis would appreciate international recognition, but they’re not about to beg for it.” “Karabakhis aren’t inclined to make concessions for peace, or territory or anything else,” the article says.

    Out of 630 films submitted for participation, 150 films from 45 countries, 80% of them documentaries will be featured at the festival. The films will be judged by six international juries.

    “During last week’s meeting of the Eurovision Song Contest’s governing body, the Reference Group, an EBU proposal to return from full-show televoting to a limited televoting window was approved.
    The Reference Group decided to, as from 2012, restore the opening of the televoting window after the last song has been performed, instead of before the first song. Initially, the change was introduced to give viewers the opportunity to vote throughout the show like during many other television programmes, and to vote instantly when a song is on,”reads the statement on Eurovision’s official website.
    Eurovision-2012 will be held in Baku from May 22 to 26.
